Parks Aplenty
Bryan’s beautiful park system includes something for nearly everyone. Paved trails in numerous parks make walking and biking a breeze. There is also an outdoor fitness course in Recreation Park for those who want to work up a sweat.
If your group includes children, plan for a stop at the Imagination Station in Recreation Park. This wooden play structure will keep kids entertained for hours. Benches and picnic tables are nearby for adults who want to relax and families who want to enjoy a meal.
Recreation Park is also home to an 18-hole disc golf course. It features some challenging, heavily-wooded holes and open straightaways where you can get great distance on your drives.
There’s also the Fountain City Amphitheater. This outdoor entertainment venue offers a variety of free concerts, events and classes. Opening day is set for May 25, 2024. See the complete schedule of events.
Williams County has several parks location just outside the City of Bryan as well. George Bible Park, Parkersburg Wildlife Area and the Williams County Watershed all have walking trails. Opdycke Park includes walking trails, along with an 18-hole disc golf course too.
Inclusive Playground Coming Soon
Construction is in progress on the Lincoln Park Inclusive Playground, located a few blocks off the square downtown. This new park will provide a space for people of all abilities to play, laugh and connect. The grand opening event is set for 2-4 p.m. on June 2. Save the date!
Spring Fling
Bryan’s downtown boasts festivals in all four seasons, and Spring Fling kicks things off. On Saturday, May 18, the streets around the square will come alive with craft vendors, food trucks and live music. Many local businesses and restaurants will also have special activities and offerings during the day as well.
Spring Fling also marks the beginning of the Bryan Farmers Market season. This eclectic group offers everything from succulents and fresh veggies to jams and coffee. The market takes place around the courthouse square on Thursdays from 3:30 p.m.-dusk and Saturdays from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
