Paul Kline, who worked with children of various abilities during her time as a teacher, always wondered why her hometown of Bryan didn’t have its own inclusive playground. Now, it does! Thanks to the support of Bryan City Schools, Bryan Parks & Recreation, the Bryan Area Foundation and generous donors, Paula’s dream is a reality. Families of all abilities can now play together at this special location.

The former site of Lincoln Elementary School is now home to Lincoln Park and Bryan’s very own inclusive playground. The playground includes ramp entry points, a poured-in-place surface, braille and picture communication boards, a flush-to-ground merry-go-round, a zipline, expression swings, and more.

Located just one block off Bryan’s downtown square, Lincoln Park is a destination where children and families of all physical, mental, and social abilities can learn, play, and grow together. While the playground is open to the public, visitors will notice that phase two of the overall project is currently in progress. Restroom facilities are under construction and two pavilions will be added soon.
